About Us

OC Resilient was founded in 2020 by Steven Morales with a clear mission: to create a competitive, community-driven volleyball home that develops athletes of all ages on and off the court. What began as small open gyms quickly grew into one of the area’s most active and rapidly expanding volleyball organizations.

Our Story

From the start, OCR emphasized accessibility, high-level training, and a strong culture. Our open gyms regularly averaged over 150 athletes, reflecting the demand for a program rooted in development, accountability, and opportunity.

2020

OCR Volleyball Club was founded
Became officially established on August 1
Averaged over 150 participants at open gyms

2021

Hosted our first 3-day volleyball tournament
Formed our first 6-man team

2022

Launched the first OCR Girls 18s Club Team
Took 10 adult teams to compete in BLeague Las Vegas

2023

Officially started the OCR Boys Club
Joined SoCal Cup with six boys teams
Launched a Women’s VLA team, expanding competitive opportunities beyond youth volleyball

2024

Completed the first full competitive season for the boys club
Concluded the year with six girls club teams, marking significant program growth

2025

Expanded the girls program with the addition of the 14U division
Strengthened leadership by hiring:
- Gersain Pineda – Director of 18s & Under
- Lorena Morales – Director of 14s & Under
